Hello and welcome to Elizabeth Cole Photography. I’m based in Billingshurst and specialise in relaxed, baby-led newborn photography across West Sussex and Surrey*. One of the things my families love most is that I bring a fully portable newborn photography studio directly to your home – meaning you don’t need to travel anywhere during those precious early weeks.
Welcoming a new baby is one of life’s most emotional and magical chapters. Those tiny fingers, sleepy stretches and delicate newborn features change so quickly. Newborn photography allows you to pause time and capture those fleeting moments before they disappear.
I photograph newborn babies from birth up to around 3 months old, giving families flexibility to book once they feel ready and settled.
*The firsr 15 mile radius of Five Oaks, Billingshurst is free for me to travel to. £2 per mile outside of 15 mile radius.
My newborn photography sessions are calm, gentle and completely baby-led. Every session is designed to feel relaxed, natural and enjoyable for your whole family.
Once your baby is settled and sleepy, I’ll photograph them using my professional newborn posing beanbag and studio lighting setup – all brought to your home. If you home as good natural light we’ll place the beanbag near a window, alternatively I have a portable studio lights that mimic natural light.
My style focuses on simple, timeless newborn portraits with soft textures, natural tones and gentle posing. I also love incorporating parents’ hands or meaningful details to show just how tiny your baby once was.

That’s why I bring my fully equipped portable newborn photography studio to you.
I travel across West Sussex including Billingshurst, Horsham, Crawley, Worthing, Chichester and surrounding areas, as well as parts of Surrey. My mobile studio includes professional lighting, backdrops, props, swaddles and posing equipment – everything needed to create beautiful studio-style newborn photographs within your own home.
In-home newborn photography allows you to stay relaxed in your own space while I gently guide the session around your baby’s needs.
There’s no packing bags, no travelling with a newborn and no rushing out the door. I create professional studio-quality newborn photography in your home anywhere across West Sussex and Surrey.
Every newborn session includes family portraits and sibling photographs at no additional cost. Your newborn story deserves to include the whole family.
A £50 deposit secures your newborn photography session, which is then deducted from your chosen package.
After your session you’ll receive a gorgeous watermarked online gallery where you can choose your favourite images and upgrade your package if you wish.
I carefully edit your chosen images to enhance skin tones, soften newborn skin and ensure you and your family look your best while keeping photographs natural and timeless.
Your final images are delivered in both colour and classic black and white. Selected packages also include professionally printed photographs ready to display in your home.
My newborn photography style focuses on capturing genuine connection and emotion rather than heavily styled or overly posed images. I create classic newborn portraits that will still feel beautiful and meaningful years from now.
I love capturing parents holding their baby, using hands, heirloom items or simple textures to show scale and connection. My goal is always to create photographs that tell your family’s story in a natural and heartfelt way.

After the shoot, receive your watermarked online gallery. You can then choose 10 edited high and low res images
Can’t possibly choose just 10? Pick 15 edited high and low res images. Plus receive 15 5×7 prints or a mix of different sizes.
Receive 25 edited images from the gallery & your other faves*. Plus 25 5×7 prints or a mix.
Final digital images include colour and black & white versions. * 10 other faves. Additional images £10 each.
Newborn photography is usually best within the first three weeks when babies are sleepier and curl naturally. However, I photograph newborns up to around 10–12 weeks old, offering more flexibility for families adjusting to life with their new baby.
Sessions are completely baby-led and typically last between 2–3 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles.
That’s absolutely fine. Awake newborn photos can be incredibly beautiful and expressive. I work patiently and calmly, allowing time for your baby to settle naturally.
I recommend soft neutral colours and simple textures to keep the focus on your baby and your connection as a family. I provide wraps, swaddles and newborn outfits for your baby.
Most families book after their 20-week scan using their due date as a guide. I always allow flexibility as babies arrive in their own time and occasionally have last-minute availability.
Yes, I travel within 15 miles of Billingshurst as standard and can travel further across Sussex and Surrey for a small mileage fee. Please get in touch to discuss availability.
