How is your tiny baby nearly one already!? A cake smash is a such sweet way (excuse the pun) to celebrate their first year – and document just how much they’ve changed from that tiny newborn baby.
By now your baby is more than likely making the sweetest faces and moving at ninja speed – either bottom shuffling, crawling or walking. Making getting a quick photo of them (as a parent) quite a challenge. That’s where Elizabeth Cole Photography steps in! I’ll capture some adorable shots during a stylish, timeless, affordable cake smash photoshoot. I’ve worked in fashion for over a decade, you’re in safe hands, I’ll work with you to style the cake smash set.
You don’t even have to leave home. I will come to you with the outfits, robes, balloons, backdrops, floor, lights, cake stand and bath – plus a never ending supply of props! All you have to do is bring the cake (I have a handy list of cost effective cakes, as well as recommendations for local cake makers). The great thing about the Cake Smash happening in your home is baby has all of their home comforts, and we can take breaks so they don’t become too overwhelmed.
A cake smash really is such a lovely first birthday present! Something you and your little one can look back at for years to come. And an ideal gift if you already have a house full of toys. The session will start with some gorgeous milestone portraits, before the cake smash session. It’s your chance to capture their personality and dress them up before things get messy. If parents would like to jump in for a few photos I encourage them to do so.
Let them eat cake. The neutral backdrop and decorations will be set up in advance. I’ll snap away as baby enjoys their cake smash. Prepare yourselves, it’s going to get messy. (Make sure you pack a spare change of clothes for everyone.)
After the cake smash baby can freshen up with a splash in the tub. I also provide little robes for after. So if baby isn’t too tired by this stage, I’ll also get some snaps of them all snug in the robe.
After the shoot you’ll receive an online gallery. Then choose 5 high res and low images.
