Welcome to Elizabeth Cole Photography. I’m based in Billingshurst. However, I travel to a location to suit you for your Newborn photography session in West Sussex or Surrey*. I’ll bring everything to you, and we’ll create studio style photos, from the comfort of your home.
Congratulations on the news of your newest family member. It’s such an exciting time. They really are only newborn for such a short amount of time. This tiny member of your family will change so dramatically in those first 3 weeks so be sure to capture it. I offer newborn shoots for babies up to 3 months old.
*Within 15 mile of Billingshurst. £1.50 per mile outside of 15 mile radius.
The session will start with some gorgeous family photos, we’ll do a few back-lit images, some against a backdrop. Then if your newborn has siblings, I’ll capture some sweet photos of them together
Once your newborn is sleepy, I’ll get some photos of them curled up on my newborn posing beanbag. If you like timeless, pure, simple photos, draped in natural light you’ve found the right photographer. During the shoot, I’ll also use your hands to not only settle, but also show the scale of how tiny and new they are – in years to come you’ll look back and be amazed how small they were.

I know that those first few weeks with a newborn is a whirlwind. More often than not it’s often a little overwhelming – quite often new parents prefer to stay in their newborn bubble for as long as possible in those first few weeks. That’s why I’ll come to you! I also offer newborn shoots for babies up to 3 months old – this gives you time to book in once you and baby are settled.
You don’t even have to leave the house – I come to you. Anywhere within 15 miles from Billingshurst*, across West Sussex and Surrey.
As part of your newborn shoot you’ll also get some lovely family photos and even sibling shoots if you have older children. No extra charge.
You only have to pay £50 to reserve your slot. This deposit will then be deducted from whichever package you choose.
I will take some stunning photos. You’ll then receive an online watermarked gallery, you can then choose your digital and printed images. And upgrade your package if you wish.
Once you choose your final digital images, I will edit them them – working my photoshop magic to get the whole family looking their best (most natural) selves.
You’ll receive the colour as well as black & white versions of the final digital images. Plus 5×7 prints (gold and platinum options) – that I will print professionally and send to you.
I don’t offer perfectly posed images, instead I focus on classic, emotive photography that will capture those sweet, tender moments with you and your new baby. I will capture you with your baby. Often using your hands or items like a ring to show the scale of how tiny your newborn baby is.

After the shoot, receive your watermarked online gallery. You can then choose 10 edited high and low res images
Can’t possibly choose just 10? Pick 15 edited high and low res images. Plus receive 15 7×5 prints.
Love every photo? This is the option for you. Receive unlimited images from the gallery. Plus 25 edited photos and 25 7×5 prints.
Final digital images include colour and black & white versions.
Ideally it’s best to do a newborn photography session in the first 3 weeks, before they are 21 days. That’s when they will still be very sleepy and curled up. However, the first few weeks can be overwhelming with a plethora of visitors and Heath check-ups, plus you are just establishing feeding and bonding with your baby. Therefore I can do a newborn shoot up to 10 weeks old. But please be aware that the baby won’t be a sleepy as they are in those first 3 weeks.
Don’t fear. I’ve got you and I get you. I have years of experience art directing shoots – I know all the tricks of the trade to achieve flattering photos. And will capture natural photos of you with your child. I also get that these little people of ours can alter the way we once looked. I can, and will make you look the best (and most natural version) of yourself – with my little friend Photoshop! I will upload your photos in your gallery after the shoot. When it comes to choosing your images with you in it, I will always tidy up any bags under your eyes. Not to mention, warp in any post-partum lumps and bumps you’d prefer not to be there.
I aim to deliver your online gallery within 2 weeks. The gallery is a watermarked ‘first basic edit’ from your session. You will then choose your final edited images which I will endeavour to get to you the final ‘high res fully edited, low and high res files’ within 10 days after you have told me your favourite images.
If possible it’s great to book in with me and let me know your due date after your 20 week scan. However I’m flexible with dates and quite often have last minute availability if you find yourself in a situation of wanting to book a newborn shoot once baby has arrived.
Your baby is bound to be awake for part of the session, don’t worry and trust me… we can get some gorgeous shots of your baby awake. Your baby is also bound to fall asleep for at least a chunk of the session.
I will advise you on what to wear upon booking. My best advice for you, your partner and siblings is keep outfits neutral. I will provide swaddles and knits for your baby.
Please still be sure to contact me and we can discuss options. I travel up to 15 miles from Billingshurst and will charge £1.50 per mile for any additional travelling.
